Sariya hoops

Colour set in gold, band by band.

Sariya means column. The temple columns at Naqa were painted, not left as bare stone. These hoops keep the same order: fields of malachite-green enamel between bands of 18-karat gold, with four diamonds set flush in the centre band. Hinged, 19.5 mm across, and worn close to the lobe.
