Sabr is the closed lotus bud: the form that crowns the columns of the Meroitic temples at Naqa, drawn at the moment before it opens. The name means patience. Its petals are outlined in 18-karat gold and filled with malachite-green enamel, with a single diamond set low on the bud. It hangs from the Charm Chain alone, or beside the charms added later.
